 PLAYER PLACEMENT PROCESS

Player Evaluation

Every year, in late May and early June, soccer clubs hold their annual tryouts to assign players to teams based on their skills. This process requires significant manpower, as coaches evaluate hundreds of players in a limited timeframe. While most players receive a phone call and are placed accordingly, some may be overlooked, unable to attend, or too anxious to showcase their true abilities.

During evaluations, coaches assess athletes on their technical and tactical skills, as well as their physical and psychological attributes. Due to the constraints of the tryout period, it is challenging to accurately evaluate players. Therefore, players are monitored throughout the entire year by their Head Coach and the Director of Coaching during training sessions and games. This ongoing observation allows for more precise placements within the Nevada Rush system.

Evaluations take into account various factors, including attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency. Nevada Rush players receive evaluations in December and April, followed by meetings to discuss their progress and support their development moving forward.

 Player Movement

During the year, a Nevada Rush player may be asked to transfer to another team within the organization. Transfers will be based on the player's competition level to ensure they are challenged and continue their development.

Head Coaches must communicate with their respective Director of Coaching (DOC) to obtain approval for any player movement within the club. This process prioritizes the player's development and well-being above all else.
